This feature is available in the Windows application. However, in other platforms you can manually add tags for tasks and search by them as well.

Fully agreed, absolutely needed. I am just waiting for Tag / Label support like in ToDoist. Once it is there I most likely will switch to ToDO

It’s still in Preview so is only available for US English at the moment.

If you use a Microsoft work or school account or a Microsoft-hosted account (e.g. Outlook, Hotmail, or Live.com) you can flag your emails and they will show up in To-Do. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-To-Do-Blog/Flagged-emails-come-to-Microsoft-To-Do/ba-p/366684

We are reviewing this idea and work on defining our roadmap for the next releases. We see that it gets requested a lot, so we are definitely considering it for an update at some point.
With the last update of To-Do across platforms we have enabled the option to see flagged emails from Outlook as Tasks in Microsoft To-Do. Simply flag an email in Outlook to create a task from it in To-Do.
You can enable this feature in Microsoft To-Do from within the App Settings.
