While we aren’t creating a My Day version that you can plan the night before at the moment, we have made significant updates to our Planned list.

Rolling out now on Android (version 2.17), and coming soon to other platforms, you can now view a distinct tomorrow view in the Planned list. You can also group the view by lists so that you have a view of all the different projects the tasks from. You can choose to close list sections so that you only concentrate on one list section at a time.

No offense, but the team working on MS ToDo doesn't seem to understand the basics of task management. I assume most of your tasks have very long deadlines.

People with busy schedules don't have the luxury to plan their days in the morning. The day is planned a night before, and the week is planned the weekend before.

Showing tasks due tomorrow in a distinct view is great, but it's not what the users are asking about. There are many tasks with different due dates that I am working on every day. If a task takes hours to complete and is due on Friday, I better start working on it on Monday if I want to make sure it gets done on time. "My Day" would be an excellent feature _if_ we could select the tasks for it a day before without changing their due dates. This is what the users are asking you for.

Unfortunately, and quite mind bogglingly, the Microsoft people who are working on this task management application seem unable to understand the very basics of task management. (This is also why the search / tag filtering results are being sorted by completely useless Creation date instead of Due date).

The Due Date is not the same as "Work on" date. Showing a task that is due tomorrow on tomorrow is not the same as scheduling a task that is due two or three days from now to be worked on tomorrow. Please get someone on the team with a real world project management experience.

Many people use "Important" (star) instead of "My day" because star is commonly used as "Today" indicator, the top priority syncs with other apps and services, and doesn't disappear at midnight like Cinderella's dress. MS Todo "Importance" is not really a priority attribute anyway, as priority has multiple levels (even in Outlook).

Manual sorting of "Important" view is, well, important. Starring a number of tasks sets them as "Next", being able to manually rearrange them in the order of execution is the missing step. There seems to be no compelling reason for not allowing this.

The tag search is severely limited by results being displayed in no apparent order (by creation date perhaps?). The single most important attribute of any task is due date, and it is baffling why all searches are not arranged by due date by default. When you have dozens of tasks, showing the ones due in two months on top with the ones due by the end of the week lost somewhere in the middle of the list is not a good approach. I wonder if whomever programmed this has any experience in task management, or do they just have months to meet a single deadline?

Come on, how difficult is it to add a second account to one of the two main mobile platforms ?

Wait, don't tell me... you can't make it sync reliably when logged into two accounts at once ? Apple can do that with your own accounts, a whole slew of 3rd party developers (individuals with day jobs) can do that, but MS can't ?

    Rather embarrassing.

If you are a project manager, your work tasks don't end when you go home. You have to see your work tasks and your personal tasks in a single list to effectively plan your day.

And syncing personal data to a work account is a very bad idea. This includes calendars and tasks.

The only correct way to do this is to have a separate work account and a separate personal account and combine them on your personal devices.

Which is supported by pretty much every task management app I've ever tried... except MS ToDo.

I like a lot of things about ToDo, but eventually may have to move on...

More than half of my recurring tasks are "redo after completion". I can't use ToDo without this essential feature,

While this works on certain platform like Windows 10, changing the first day of the week does not yet work on iOS. This is an improvement we are working on

In our latest iOS & iPadOS update – version 2.5 – we’ve brought smart due dates to the app.

Will be coming to more platforms in the future.

Our team is working on a solution to show tasks with due dates on the Outlook.com / O365 calendar. We unfortunately can’t provide an ETA on this yet, but we can assure you that we listen to your requests for it.

With the last update of To-Do across platforms we have enabled the option to see flagged emails from Outlook as Tasks in Microsoft To-Do. Simply flag an email in Outlook to create a task from it in To-Do.

You can enable this feature in Microsoft To-Do from within the App Settings.

To get the latest version of To-Do please go to https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-to-do-list-app
