On Web, you can duplicate lists and tasks. On Windows, you can duplicate lists but not tasks.
Basically you can have templates for lists and duplicate them on both Windows and Web.

+1 for this idea. I think Damien is referring to what To-Do calls checklist items. I use these to keep track of components of a task--for instance, pay all the writers and the moderator--and I might miss paying someone if I can check off the task without opening it to check off the subtasks.

+1 for Anonymous' suggestion of bi-directional communication.
I'd love to see this work with SharePoint Libraries/Onedrive for Business as well.

Yes, this will make recurring tasks much more friendly.

Thanks, James Martindale. You just saved me a lot of manual entry. I have never actively used Outlook Tasks and didn't realize the potential.

Import from CSV would be a flexible way to handle this.

If you have enabled the ‘Flagged email’ option from settings in To Do, then any email you flag in Outlook will show up under the ‘Flagged email’ smartlist.
From the Outlook web app, you can create a task out of an email by right-clicking —> Advanced actions —> Create task. You can also select a message in the body of an email and create a task out of it.

The flagged email feature is nice, but I'd like a different way to create tasks from email. I use email flags differently.

I agree with RBA. There seem to be several related suggestions: https://todo.uservoice.com/forums/597175-feature-suggestions/suggestions/37019920-automatically-open-the-right-pane-for-a-new-task-w and https://todo.uservoice.com/forums/597175-feature-suggestions/suggestions/37780606-configure-task-details-in-task-list-vs-in-task-de -- perhaps others.

In our iOS & iPadOS apps we’ve brought smart due dates to the app. Will be coming to more platforms in the future.

I regularly get "A webpage is slowing down your browser" in Firefox when I open the To-Do site. The page then locks up. This is not something I'm seeing with other sites so I don't believe it's my computer.

Well put, Ryan. When this can be accessed by both personal and work accounts at the same time, I might consider replacing my current Wunderlist + Teamworks setup with To-Do and Planner.

Not sure I agree with this... I'd at least want to be able to turn it off.
The beauty of To-Do is it's clean and simple approach. What do you want to do today? vs. Let's see how many things you can check off.
