    I have a lot of daily tasks. It makes more sense to automatically add my 20 daily tasks by default. I hate adding 20 tasks. Every. Single. Day. For the time-being, I've switched to Googles app. But I'd switch back to MSFT if this were resolved, because the MSFT app is better in other aspects.

    The fact that these tasks were set to recur daily implies that they should be in "my day" by default. It is more likely that I plan on doing them than not doing them. Otherwise they wouldn't be goals would they? They would just be things that maybe I'll do if I feel like it, which is not what To Do apps are for.

    On average, people have more tasks that they aim to complete in that day, compared to tasks that they want to defer.

    And so based on that logic deferring a task should be the manual process.

    Alternatively if my logic is wrong, and not all users are like me, at least add a setting to toggle if they're automatically added or not. That way you will not upset any of your userbase.

    As a side note I can't even use the work-around of using the Planned smartlist under the Today bucket instead. This is because the Android widget doesn't have that as an option - I would have to open up the app. I prefer the widget because it is always visible.
