While we aren’t adding automatic population of due dates to My Day at the moment, we have made some significant changes to the Planned list.

Rolling out on Android now (version 2.17), and coming soon to other platforms, you can now see a distinct Today view in the Planned list. You can also choose to group this view by list so that you get a view of what you have to do today across all your lists. You can choose to close particular lists e.g. Home if you don’t want to see it while at work.

Not planning your day in advance is a bad time management practice, and it's surprising that a task management service would deliberately encourage this.

Most busy people in the real world don't have the luxury to plan their day in the morning. Perhaps MS employees do, but for most of us the mornings are the busiest time, and the efficient people plan their day a day before.

    1) Tag search must be arranged by due date. Not creation date. Task deadlines is what everyone is working to, the creation date is irrelevant 99.9999% of time.

    2) On Ipad, there's no way to exclude completed tasks from tag search, or group them at the bottom. When you have hundreds of tasks, this becomes a huge problem.

#Tag search is a potentially extremely powerful feature, but in its current implementation, rather useless for anyone with more than a few tasks.

At the very minimum, list filtered by a tag needs to be sorted by due date. When you have dozens of tasks under the same tag, a random order makes the filtered list useless. This is a very basic feature and the lack of it severely limits the usability of tags.

Yes, this looks like a brand new, just recently introduced bug.

It's not just annoying, the "Earlier" header is collapsed by default when opening the Planned tasks view. Which is not good.

"Recur from completion" is a very useful functionality. Please add.

A Master task list is necessary in any task application.

A bandaid type workaround is to add a due date to every task (a good habit anyway, IMHO) and use Planned view as your main list view.

Our team is working on a solution to show tasks with due dates on the Outlook.com / O365 calendar. We unfortunately can’t provide an ETA on this yet, but we can assure you that we listen to your requests for it.

    > "Who uses Outlook anymore?"

Most people with real jobs? Granted many organizations now use Google services but Exchange is still used by around 65-70% of business users, AFAIK.

This is great news, are you also planning on adding an Apple Watch app ? I'd say it's even more important than the iOS Widget now.

With the new iOS Reminders app as of iOS 13, I am finding out that using Reminders as the back end for ToDo just doesn't work. It makes far more sense to either drop ToDo and use Reminders exclusively, or drop Reminders and move all tasks to Outlook.com / ToDo. I would rather do the latter but this means I would not have my tasks on my watch.

Now that the updated Reminders on iOS13 don't work all that great with Outlook or Exchange accounts, the users are left to chose between abandoning Reminders altogether and only using ToDo synced directly to Microsoft accounts bypassing Apple's build in sync, or abandoning MS tasks and going with Reminders all the way.

Unfortunately, with both the lack of Apple Watch integration, and the lack of support for combining tasks from multiple accounts, MS ToDo does not cut it for Apple users anymore.

Why use MS products if there's no decent mobile experience ? Is MS deliberately trying to make itself irrelevant ?

Come on, give them a break. This is Micosoft, the software giant. You can't expect them to match all the cool useful features that some lone developer working on an app in their spare time can incorporate in their task managers.
