Sub tasks
It would be cool, if we could add sub tasks to a single entry. The parent should be expandable, so that sub tasks would be visible at a glance, and progress should be visible without expanding the parent task.
8,256 votesWe’re very happy to introduce Steps with version 1.28. Now you can break your larger to-dos down in to more manageable pieces.

Priority Levels
You might have Most Important Task, or Important Task, or even a Bump List. Some Tasks are more important than others, So a Priority Level would be nice.
Level 1 to Level 10
Or Task Catagories: "Simple Quick Tasks", "Bump List",
4,808 votesImportance is now available in version 1.35. Just star your to-dos with the highest priority and sort by Importance to have them move to the top of your list.

Make Microsoft To-Do the one stop solution for tasks and reminders in Microsoft Products.
Also make specific lists accessible to Cortana.

Hide completed tasks in My Day
Much like Wunderlist, I like when I close out a task to see it removed (hidden) so I can see my list getting shorter during the day or week.
Currently on "My Day" I have to manually right-click to remove a completed task, which feels like I need to click 2-3 times to close a task.
Maybe consider adding the "hide complete tasks" options either site-wide or on this page as well. You have it everywhere else already (other lists)
1,646 votesWith version 1.33 we’ve added list options to My Day, so you can now select your background, sort your to-dos and choose to hide your completed to-dos there. The update should now be available in the Microsoft Store, Google Play Store, iOS App Store, as well as on to-do.microsoft.com in the browser.

Push notifications on shared lists
Everyone on a shared list should be able to get notified when entries are added or completed on these shared lists via push notifications on phone. Not via email.

Microsoft Flow Integration
Microsoft Flow currently supports Wunderlist and Todoist. Offering support for Microsoft To-Do would mean, that a lot of automations could work with this service as well (e.g. create a To-Do if I'm mentioned in a certain mail, etc.) This would enhance this service greatly
1,533 votesWe are happy to announce that you can now integrate Microsoft To-Do with Microsoft Flow.
To create a flow using Microsoft To-Do, log in to Microsoft Flow with the same Microsoft Account you use with Microsoft To-Do. Then just select the connector or service you’d like to send a to-do from.
You’ll then have the option to select the trigger you’d like to begin your flow, such as When a new email arrives. Now select + New step and then Add an action. From the available actions, select Microsoft To-Do – Add a to-do. You’ll also need to enter the Subject field in order to add a title for your to-do. Then select Save flow and you’re ready to go!

Themes
Please add more backgrounds and colors for the theme options and also let us choose a custom background.
1,402 votesThank you for all the votes and comments here! We are closing this feature suggestion as we have implemented an option to set background images for each list with version 2.0 of To Do. In case you have additional requests, please vote on the separate thread for more specific ideas.

Less hidden Recurring items
I don't see any way of setting reminders or recurring items, as you can with Wunderlist. I don't see the point of the app, otherwise.
1,083 votesThank you for all your feedback! We have now updated the design of the Detail View to always show the Repeat option. This makes the feature easier to discover and quicker to use.

Make it like Wunderlist!
Make it like Wunderlist! You own Wunderlist so why not just rename Wunderlist instead of starting with a new and featured challenged app!
975 votesToday we’ve launched a brand new version of To Do. We took on your feedback and brought back some design elements of Wunderlist, but with a refresh. Now you can customize each list with a different background and choose from images (including that Berlin tower), color and pastel backgrounds.
Read more about it here – https://aka.ms/m365blog/newtodo. And let us know what you think over on Twitter – https://twitter.com/MicrosoftToDo or Facebook – https://Facebook.com/MicrosoftToDo
We’ve also recently launched our Mac app, list groups and task assignments. We’ll close this thread now. If there are still features that you would like to see please vote for them on the separate feature suggestions.
We hope you love the new look as much as we do.

Microsoft Launcher (Arrow Launcher) integration
Wunderlist was cleanly integrated into arrow launcher. This new application is currently not.
773 votesThe latest Microsoft Launcher update includes an integration with To-Do. Just update to Launcher version 5.1 to get it.

iPad support
Please make the app work on iPad in a native mode instead of "2x" which makes it pretty much unusable.
742 votesWe have just released version 1.13 of our Microsoft To-Do iOS app, which now also supports iPad.
You can download it directly from the App Store on https://itunes.apple.com/app/microsoft-to-do/id1212616790?mt=8

Change default list when opening
The app should open up to "To-Do" instead of My Day. Or, if possible, users should be able to open to a custom list (which might default to "To-Do" if that custom list gets deleted).

Offline Support
Its better way if we can access it even without internet. There are some situations i think it helps a lot if it has offline support
608 votesThe last bug in the Windows 10 app has been fixed and it is now possible to open the app and see + add your tasks, also without having an Internet connection.
With that, Microsoft To-Do now works offline on Windows 10, Android, and iOS. -
Select specific lists in Android Widget
right now you can place a widget in android only to my day. i should be able to for any specific list
