# Tag search
The input tag list is displayed and I need to select the existing tag and input it when I enter a todo.
Also, when searching, it would be nice to have a function to search by various combinations of tags and text.
This feature is available in the Windows application. However, in other platforms you can manually add tags for tasks and search by them as well.
It would be really useful to have this features on mac' apps. I usually attach task with a person. When, i meet this person, a research on his name and i see all the tasks connected to him.
Tag suggestions is really needed.
1) Tag search must be arranged by due date. Not creation date. Task deadlines is what everyone is working to, the creation date is irrelevant 99.9999% of time.
2) On Ipad, there's no way to exclude completed tasks from tag search, or group them at the bottom. When you have hundreds of tasks, this becomes a huge problem.
#Tag search is a potentially extremely powerful feature, but in its current implementation, rather useless for anyone with more than a few tasks.
To Do List - please add a search button for tasks
The tag search is severely limited by results being displayed in no apparent order (by creation date perhaps?). The single most important attribute of any task is due date, and it is baffling why all searches are not arranged by due date by default. When you have dozens of tasks, showing the ones due in two months on top with the ones due by the end of the week lost somewhere in the middle of the list is not a good approach. I wonder if whomever programmed this has any experience in task management, or do they just have months to meet a single deadline?
Oh this is so obvious
Must include search, filter, sort by 1+ tags so that I can filter a task list to those tasks with a particular tag or set of tags

Fully agreed, absolutely needed. I am just waiting for Tag / Label support like in ToDoist. Once it is there I most likely will switch to ToDO

Good idea there should to be a tag based items to facilitate in searching tag wise or with different tags combination.
Hierarchical tags need to be used and will revolutionize the usefulness of the application. Refer to anki for what I mean. IT will allow you to move tasks around to seperate categories and yet retain the same organization via tag infrastructure

You can create a specific symbol and tag button for the desktop and mobile apps. I have drafted a sample; feel free to use:
Badly need Tags or Categories to be able to sort specific tasks within a list
Tags would be an extremely powerfull addition
This would be extremely helpful. My use case is a grocery list. I want to specify a specific store for some items, which I can do by hashtag. Then, when in that store, I can view all the items by that hashtag. It is an impromptu "virtual list" this way - but all while staying within the same To-Do list.

Being able to filter and search in a matrix perspective, would be amazing. I work with different customers (groups) and projects (lists), and each task is of different severity/ urgency. but I need an overview across all lists.
Creating tags, categories and filter across lists and tasks, based om these would be a huge benefit for my daily prioritizing of my task and help planning my workday.

I would love to have 3 or 4 dedicated tagging fields in the form for each task. Each field would have a pull-down of pre-defined or previously used options (typing not required). Each of these pull-down lists would need to be unique from each other and unique from the options given in other task lists.
There are two main goals:
1. Create hierarchical tagging that has appropriate options that cover the needs of a particular list (the options on personal lists will be very different than work lists)
2. Enable report worthy searching constancy by entering the majority of tagging info with pull-down menus and leaving free-form # tags for the fine details. This added structure will reduce susceptibility to typing errors, prevent the number of tags from ballooning unnecessarily, and remind people to add the identifying details.

Sim, certamente é uma das funções essenciais pra um gerenciador de tarefas.
This is very important. I want a list of all my tags that i can order and drag and drop around and on Tasks. Make tags useful please.
Any possible way to exclude a tag in a search? It would be better if we could create filters using a particular combo of tags, and excluding a particular combo of tags.
