Open email with Outlook Desktop
Thanks for the Flagged mail connection. It would be great if the email could open in Outlook Desktop instead of OWA.

It is rather striking that the original wrapper for office (Binder) was ripped out and now you are making it into separate apps. One would think that the application which is far more stable, faster and cleaner than another PoS web app, would be the priority for development rather than the exception. If you are going to install these applications with out asking if they need to be added to eat space, perhaps you should first make certain that they work with the subscription service you charge for. This does not a happy customer make.

I have the To-Do desktop app alongside the Outlook desktop app on my MacBook. It would be nice if the Outlook desktop app recognizes that the To-Do desktop app is installed and opens that instead of opening the web version.

Wonder if this is going to take 3 years and not get done like iOS multi-account support.

I came here specifically to ask for this feature, glad to see that it's been already requested and is being worked on!

It would be great if message text can ALSO be added to task (like text only task creation option) so I do not have to open E-mail for more details unless needed.

Please add opening flagged emails in the desktop Outlook application. Opening them in OWA is next to useless for me. Thanks.

This is a must-have feature, otherwise it makes the "Open in Outlook" link pretty useless!

Please allow opening in desktop app!

This feature would make ToDo a lot friendlier to use. Now I switch between tasks and To Do.

Please - many of us rely on Inbox Zero, and opening the emails linked to tasks in Outlook desktop is a badly needed feature!

The fact that this suggestion still garners votes and comments 18 months later, shouldn't there at least be a status update if this is being considered? Please provide the ability to set the default action to Outlook Desktop or web. Peace.

I would definitely bump this. The fact that in the "new outlook experience" the tasks have been completely moved to Todo (and the button in the Outlook OSX app links to the todo web version) this is broken both ways.
I use flagged emails entirely to manage my Zero-inbox, and this is kind of an issue.

I don't think it has to do with that MS To Do desktop app is a wrapper for the web app. ToDoist is a wrapper as well and it fully integrates w Outlook as an add-in and opens emails in the Outlook app. So this is just really poor... it works for the iPhone app.

You can't see threads of emails when it opens. This makes the whole program useless

A year and a half later and still not addressed. This is a deal breaker, will go back to Mail until this works in app.
