Open email with Outlook Desktop
Thanks for the Flagged mail connection. It would be great if the email could open in Outlook Desktop instead of OWA.

Can't understand why you would NOT use the desktop app? This makes no sense and is a downgrade from Wunderlist and makes what was a killer feature; flagging emails to create a todo so you can then action the email, a useless one!

This is critical for the feature to be usable for me, opening in the Outlook web app is just slow and a pain when I'm already working in desktop outlook...

I started using To-Do this week. It is surprising that this capability works this way. The To-Do for iOS opens the outlook for iOS app. The to-Do for Windows does not open the Outlook for desktop. Frustrating.

even that does not work for me

Strong agreement. To Do itself is a desktop app, not browser!

This is a no-brainer. Why have 2 desktop apps, but open emails in a browser? Also, Wunderlist has done this forever

This is not just a preference, it is vital for effective workflow.

I need this feature like yesterday. Using to To-Do to manage my daily email work flows and followups. The OWA window also open up the email as a single message. I'd instead like to see this a part of an overall conversation as in Outlook desktop.

Please also keep the desktop app for the Mac in mind as well.

Absolutely. At least let us tweak this in some way.
Power users are (still?) MSFT greatest advocates. For how long? It seems like MSFT is all about making great products "simplified" for dummies who are already sold to competition... I miss the logic. -

I understand this is currently due to the app architecture, that the desktop app is a wrapper for the web app. And the functionality of opening OWA is great when using the web based app. However, when using the desktop APP version, it's a HUGE PITA to open OWA, especially with MFA enabled. Please update this so that it can deep link from the To-Do desktop app to the Outlook desktop application.

Definitely. One of the reasons I flag emails is so I remember to archive them in OneNote later. I can't do that from the web version of Outlook.
