Add Outlook Categories to Tasks
Ability to sync with Outlook categories and sort by categories within the app.

Dear Microsoft Team, why don't you just add #-Hashtags with the category-names in MS Outlook/Tasks to the titles in Microsoft Todo?
This way I could see the categories I labeled my tasks in Outlook in MS Todo as well. This is the only feature why I did not switch to MS Todo so far, it would be a pain to add all the labels manually again. Please help us to use your tool!

How many frustrated users are required before Microsoft will do something about this?
We need to be able to use Outlook desktop and To Do together - most of us use categories in Outlook and ToDo is useless without the categories appearing/syncing in the To Do app

That’s the first that should have been done. Without categories on To-Do, it becomes utterly unusable.

Categories are essential to this being usable if you want people to switch from the Outlook client.

This should not even be a request but a no brainer... categories should be everywhere in 365, hence CERTAINLY in Todo. Dear Microsoft, as your former COO Kevin used to say: GO DO !!

We need categories on To Do. All my task on Outlook is organized by categories..I can't work with To Do without it.

Please add categories to the To Do Tasks. Without these it is useless for me and will continue to use the desktop app just because of this.
This is fundamental functionality that is used extensively in the desktop version!!!! -

This isn't even on the MS To Do Roadmap. What is in development (and there is only one project rolling in development) does not seem to be a priority:
"Notifications for shared lists in Microsoft To Do (AAD users)
Customers who use list sharing in Microsoft To Do with their AAD account will begin receiving push notifications for activity in shared lists, such as task creation and completion."
We don't need more notifications in our lives...seriously. We need functionality in the app itself. Data needs to be tagged for better management...this is a simple truth. Please add categories to To Do so we can tag our data and manage it better.

MS don't have features in one platform ie. Outlook tasks that sync and not others. Categories can be put into outlook tasks, make them sync to MS to-do. I will 1 star you on the app stores until this is done.

Categories are also essential for me in order to move to use To Do! I use them every day to organize my projects down to the next strategic actions that I enter as tasks and drag to my calendar to complete, easy to visualize and organize by both the categories and colors. Please add!
