Automatic populating of My Day
I have several Lists each with numerous actions. I assign Due Dates to each action. Every day I have to troll through all my actions and Add to My Day on all those actions which are due today. It would save an awful lot of time if an algorithm could be devised by Microsoft which automatically registers those actions due today in My Day
While we aren’t adding automatic population of due dates to My Day at the moment, we have made some significant changes to the Planned list.
Rolling out on Android now (version 2.17), and coming soon to other platforms, you can now see a distinct Today view in the Planned list. You can also choose to group this view by list so that you get a view of what you have to do today across all your lists. You can choose to close particular lists e.g. Home if you don’t want to see it while at work.

Automatic adding of Important tasks to My Day
please add a function to popolate "myday" the day before like in the end of the day !
I always to my tasklist at the end of the day for the next day.
To Do cancels my day at 00:00 h so I loose my planning
Rolling over the unfinished task is a very good idea, and I hope this could be made optional and I can use it automatically.
Please make this optional ... The idea of having to manually plan your day each day is important. Too many tasks automatically rolling over each day just snow balls and becomes unmanageable. Having the option to automatically update my day is good ... but don't replace the manual option.

Yes, roll over unfinished My Day tasks. Not just suggest to add them or tell you you didn't finish them, an option for them to roll over and stay on the list.
I don't always finish my current days items in "My Day". Could there be an option to carry forward these items when one opens the list for "My Day" on the next day. On a side note, being able to select multiple items as one does with the control key and alt key when selecting items elsewhere would be useful. I would find it useful when going through to select items for "My Day" from other lists.
I agree with the other comments. The MyDay feature should automatically populate the items that are due today.
Seriously, manually repopulating tasks that you may not have completed the day before is the primary reason I don't actively use the app. Persistence on a task until closed should be easy to implement and honestly, a no brainer from a functionality perspective.
Any updates on this feature?
Same problem here.
You can create a repetition for a task, but these tasks cannot be moved automatically via an option in the "My day" area. I would like to see weekly tasks in "My Day" and then be able to add further tasks there if necessary. You have to enter a due date and manually add it to "My Day" on that day.
This should be improved.

A My Day To Do list that is wiped clean and forces us to manually repopulate it every day is the biggest design change Microsoft has made to Wunderlist. It's also the only To Do feature that annoys me every time I use the app. We should have an override option to persist certain tasks in My Day until done. Some items are high priority and impossible to complete in one day. Why create more work by forcing us to keep adding these back every day? Is this some Microsoft Exec's pet idea that the team is afraid to touch?
Come on Microsoft. After more than two years, at least make it an option in settings.
Planning tomorrows work surely starts with knowing exactly what you have already committed?
I would prefer the item to appear on 'My Day' on the Remind me date.
@Polly - you can 't flag that you are working on this when your comment specifically says you aren't!
Please prioritise this - it would be a real productivity helper
@Polly The automatic population simply is a MUST HAVE. I don't understand why you guys would not implement that. I spent hours searching for that feature because I just COULD NOT IMAGINE that it would be missing. Without it, the entire "My Day" feature completely misses the point.
I agree - this is ridiculous! Also, an Android uplift is no good to me as I use a Mac.
This feature would be great. I am planning my day for tomorrow, but can't put anything on the list for tomorrow.
This would amazing ! Because although the My Day feature is good, it doesn't allow you to add tasks to it until the new day starts. I like to set my tasks the day before or even many days before.

As many others have said, auto-populating my day would be amazing.
Without it, I don't see the use of the "my day" feature, if it doesn't show, what I have to do. The important stuff is still in the "important" category.
My day should show my day. It should tell me what I have to do...
All tasks that have an overdue date or are planned for that day should automatically appear in My Day. Its a pain doing all that manually right now.
