When you type # in Wunderlist on ChromeBrowser it lists all already used tag-words, so you just can select if allready existent. This is great!
Using #hashtags in Microsoft To-Do is already possible, similar to how they worked in Wunderlist. How this works is described here: https://todosupport.helpshift.com/a/microsoft-to-do/?p=web&s=tips-tricks&f=using-tags-with-microsoft-to-do
The app version shows existing tags when you enter # in a new task but this doesn't work on the browser version (I'm not allowed to install the app version on my work laptop).
The page behind the link is empty...

Microsoft, please read carefully what your customers exactly want:
"When you type # in Wunderlist, it LISTS all ALREADY used tags, so you just can SELECT if allready existent."
This is an important feature that you do NOT already have !
We just a bit of spring cleaning in our FAQ and it looks like the link has moved. You can find more information about tags here: https://todosupport.helpshift.com/a/microsoft-to-do/?s=tasks&f=add-steps-importance-notes-and-tags-to-your-tasks

Yes you are correct, #Tags do already work in To-Do.
This request however is to improve their functionality . . . . specifically, to enable auto-completion of #Tags based on the #Tags that you have already used.
This is common functionality in many applications.

The usage of tags could also be to indicate any conditions for executing the action (E.g. laptop / office / store). Please refer to Visual Studio Team Service Tags function.

Hashtags already work in To-Do. Once you create the task, and click on the linked hashtag, it takes you to a filtered search. At least it does on the PC version. The mobile version doesn't seem to work that way.

dont make it too complex ... i like it because of the simplicity
When entering a new hashtag, it is very important for the user to know what hashtags they have previously created. In Wunderlist, as soon as you enter "#" and start typing letters of your proposed hashtag, you see what hashtags already have been created. Eliminates unnecessary duplication.
Tagging also need to be incorporated to the Search.
