More options for recurring events
Allow recurring events to reoccur on a "custom" basis
first Monday of the month
last day of the month
We have options to set recurrence for every weekday, every day, every week, every month, every year, etc.
We also have the option to customize the recurrence. You can have a task repeating every ‘x’ days/weeks/months/years.
Change recurrence day based on last completion date. For example, I need to change air filter every 30 days but sometime it doesn't happen until day 40. The 30 days reminder needs to reset due date to 30 days from last completion date.

First / Last / On Nth workday / calendar day would be very helpful.
recurrence functionality would be very helpful!

What's missing is "business day" and "holiday" specials, that'll take local state business calendar into account. This would allow the following cases:
"Each business day: make a call to J.Doe"
"Remind to send money to son on 1st day of month; if it's a rest day, remind the last business day before it"

Would like to see “Give dog medicine x days after this task is completed.” Every time I complete the task the next task will be scheduled for x days out. Todoist has this recurring event functionality.

Having the ability to schedule a recurring task on the "first Wednesday of every month" or even the "last Thursday of every month" is a pretty standard (and expected) feature of almost every task manager app I've tried (which is A LOT of them). This would be a huge improvement to Microsoft To Do!

Agreed that the "First and Third Thursdays of the month" or "Every Mon, Wed, Friday" would be very helpful.
If the recurrence functionality mirrored what is in outlook, that'd be ideal.
Option: Hide item until [DueDate] +/- days
Option: Hide Item unitl [FixedDate]
Please develop this - this is so basic.
Indeed, this is a feature that needs to added. Please develop this, it would be really helpful

I've noticed that if I create the task using Outlook that I can set more complex recurring events like 2nd Tuesday and it does seem to work properly inside the task list in the to do app. So maybe they work, but the browser simply doesn't allow the data entry for them at present? We've got a lot of requests like this from our users.

It should be nice tot have the possibility of setting like "Every 2nd monday of the Monty".
Furthermore an possibility to set the recurrency from the due date or from completion a task.
Can't set repeat for X number of times nor repeat until X date
We need this customizable recurrence of which day of the month for the task to recur. Several of my tasks are due "every 2nd Tuesday" and so on, but there's no way for me to create that recurrence with the current "Custom" options. Being able to customize every 'x' days/weeks/months/years is great if you don't have things that occur "every 3rd Thursay" or "every last Wednesday" or "every 5th Sunday". Could this get taken out of the backlog and get worked on?
Definitely need a recurrence like: third Monday of the month.

I also want the ability to set an expiration on recurring tasks
Allow to set custom spaced recurrence for example: first after 2 days, then 10 days, then 30 days.... It helps for students for revision...
Google Calendar/Business Calendar Android App have the option to select to make recurrence based on Due Date or Completion Date, it is a good solution.
Or last Sunday of each month
