BUG: synchronisation issues
Windows 10 app has incredible synchronization issues. Sometimes all tasks disappear from the app and then sync once again, but usually not fully.
Similar happens via web - I see there only one third of my tasks.
iOS app seems to be the most reliable.

We have rolled out improvements for the Sync across platforms with every release. In case you still see issues in the latest versions, please use the in-app Support option to reach out, so we can investigate and fix the issues.

Tasks are just dissapearring and not syncing. I have been tracking this for a few weeks now and it happens on the daily, with zero rhyme or reason. It is only in the main "tasks" list, and others are fine. But the tasks that are deleted are completely random and never consistent. I have been taking screenshots to not lose work and compare. An hour later, poof random tasks disappear. It is driving me crazy and will also cease to use this application.

Totally agree with the comment from Anonymous on 19/11. I am about to stop using ToDo before it totally messes up my work. You'd think in 2020 syncing between devices wouldn't be such a challenge.

ToDo sync is a disaster and I stopped using it altogether when I lost half of my tasks from two accounts because ToDo on the web decided to not sync them with ToDo on my iPhone and then erased the ones it couldn't sync.
MS seems to have huge and longstanding issues with synchronization across the board, not just with ToDo but also Onenote. Onedrive is more reliable but s-l-o-w compared to competition. Too bad, ToDo had lots of potential, but it seems to have received the typical MS' kiss of death via snail pace of development and bugs proliferation.

Wunderlist worked fine. When I select MS To Do, mostly on my iPad and iPhone, it takes a minute or longer for thE program to function. Very frustrating! I haven’t heard back from them about resolving this issue and they were unable to resolve an earlier simple issue. Has anyone found a suitable alternative which imports all my lists correctly? Thanks, Brian

Hi, I currently have notes on about 21 active task lists on Microsoft To Do. Each time I want to update edit or save save one of the task list, it adds blank lines between each item on the list and creates a massive gap between each item.
Each time I try to edit the task, it becomes longer and longer due to the blank lines added. it is incredibly annoying and I don't know how to stop these blank lines appearing, please help!

I reluctantly switched from Wunderlist to ToDo when they FINALLY extended it to the OS/X (Mac) platform. I have a single task set up to capture all of my personal To Do's. It can get lengthy (100+ lines) and has a few URL's in it.
Worked fine till a month ago. Now, whenever I edit/save it, it adds blank lines between each item and creates about five duplicates of the URL references. The effect is cumulative. In other words, each time I try to edit the task, it adds additional blank lines and another occurrence of the URL's.
Help!!

I gather that this user forum is the best (only) way to communicate MSFT TODO bugs? It doesn't appear from the other comments that MSFT is paying much attention, though. Any other avenues for bug reporting?

I can't seem to get anyone from Microsoft to help me get the To Do App to work in Windows 10. It works great on my iPad, iPhone and online. No one from Microsoft can get the To Do app to work on my computer. It's sad that a Microsoft product won't work with it's own Microsoft OS. If there's anyone smart enough from Microsoft out there that can get this issue fixed would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Gary

Reluctantly migrating from Wunderlist finding that first all my subtasks were distributed incorrectly in multiple lists. This app really is no replacement for Wunderlist, the basic function of the app is flawed. Sharing a list and showing that is completed with one shared user does not work.
I will be finding an alternative.

It's ridiculous that this is *still* an issue...I think I first had this issue at least a year/year and a half a go. I like the app, I like the improvements happening, but the sync issue means I can only trust this to work on one device properly. If I'm on my computer, and use the win10 app, I then have to make sure that saved, then I have to open my phone, open the todo app, do a manual refresh, check the todo has been pulled in, and check that the reminder has been saved too. It's utterly ridiculous.
I'm now actively trying to find a new todo app as this has gone beyond a joke that it's still a present, and imo MAJOR, bug for this length of time.

I've tried and tried and it doesn't work or it doesn't work the way I would like. I was a user of Wunderlist, when its end of life was announced, I've installed Todo on my desktop and imported all my stuf from Wunderlist with no problem. Installed Todo on my Iphone, it doesn't sync. Called IT, re-installed Todo on my I-phone, we made sure that all the setup are corrects and it doesn't work. It doesn't sync, I'm at the end of my patience

My wife and I are repeatedly experiencing this issue. It seems to happen most when we are both making updates to a shared chores list with weekly repeating tasks.
I will complete an item, but it won't update for her, but it will add the new one for next week.
She will complete an item, and it will update for me, but then will reappear with the same date for her in addition to the new one for next week.
She will in rapid fire complete last week's task to add this week, and complete this week's, I will see next week's and last week's still open.Overall it really seems like shared lists + repeating tasks + simultaneous updating will break this app, making it useless for spouses sharing chore lists on Saturdays, a very realistic and practical need.

Installed ToDo on Android and imported Wunderlist items.
Installed the Windows version - nothing visible at all.
Using same account on both platforms. -

I just switched back to Wunderlist because of this. I'm using a listed shared between my wife and I on iOS. Adding items to one device doesn't show up on the other. If I edit on one device then it will show up on the other. I'm not interested in troubleshooting it so I'll just switch back. To Do really adds nothing compared to Wunderlist for me except bugs since we don't use any of the Office integration.

This issue is far from complete. Even uninstalling the app and re-downloading it is failing to get the To Do list on my iphone to synch with the version on my laptop. Never had this issue with Wunderlist which was working fine until MS took it over.

On the latest Android version, I kept trying to make edits to a comment while I was offline (traveling between subway stops). At each subway stop To-Do would reconnect and lose my edits. It's a shame, as I like to clean up my to-do list while I'm on a subway commute...

The synchronization issues with this app and any related platforms it is on is incredible. I can only rely on using one plat form because the second I try anything else (iOS app, web app) they never fully sync all my tasks. Even the manual sync button is broken. It never actually syncs if you use the manual button. At the very least To Do should make the manual sync work. Very Disappointed.

To do is SO slow. The smart list planned freezes on every iPhone X. I am now seriously considering returning to Wunderlist. How you can buy a product like Wunderlist and then propose to replace it with such an inferior product!!
