Copy and Paste Lists and Tasks
This was a really handy feature in Wunderlist - the ability to copy/paste both lists and tasks...
I had a number of template lists which I could copy if I needed. For instance, a generic list of holiday items to pack which would be copied/pasted each time I went on a new trip.
Thankfully - the excellent integration with Outlook means I can do this at the Outlook end, and it'll be replicated in To-Do! :)
On Web, you can duplicate lists and tasks. On Windows, you can duplicate lists but not tasks.
Basically you can have templates for lists and duplicate them on both Windows and Web.
The ability to copy tasks, copy sub-tasks or to create task templates are a must!

I’ve just downloaded To Do onto my desktop Mac, iPhone and iPad, and discovered I can’t duplicate lists. What’s the point of having the apps, if I can only do this on the webversion?
I decided not to use My Day because I don’t want my tasks to disappear at the end of the day. I decided not to use the Recurring feature because it’s too much confusing clutter.
My solution was to make a Today folder, and copy the recurring tasks there-
...but now find I can only copy tasks on the PC, not iphone. It has Move To but not Copy To. Very frustrating.

For the love of God why is this not a standard feature in all platforms of this app. I too have template lists that I create new lists from all the time. Make it happen in OSX please!

A new update came out for the Mac desktop. Still no List or Task Duplicate. There is a feature to make a list from a task though...?
Does anyone know of other software that does what we're hoping for?
Further to this, also need to be able to copy & paste Steps in Tasks to other Tasks/Lists/or outside apps
Workaround on OSX:
1) Select to print list
2) In dialog to print, in the bottom right is a PDF drop down
3) Select "Open In Preview"
4) Select the list and copy from Preview
It is annoying that a standard UX behavior is not supported. It's more annoying that you got rid of a perfectly good application, Wunderlist, and decided to replace it with one that does not support this standard UX behavior. You should have left Wunderlist functioning until To Do was fully functional.
I don't seem to be able to do this on ios or osx, would be a great feature please.
Please add duplicate lists to mac and android apps!! It's annoying you can only do this on the web version.

1. Sign in to the Windows Outlook desktop app with the same Microsoft account that you use with Microsoft To Do.
2. Switch to the folder list view by selecting CTRL+6, then expand the folder "Tasks". You should see your tasks folder now as well.
3. Right-click on the task you want to copy, then select the option "Copy".
4. Ctrl+v to paste the copied task.
Wunderlist allowed you to copy by dragging item while holding down the Alt (or some other) keyboard key. Where did this go?
Copy and Paste in To Do would simplify work; may be there are template, too. And several persons the task is assigned to.
I need to copy and paste lists and tasks why is not alredy possibile do it???????
I need to readily copy lists and tasks from To Do and paste to Exel, Word, Messages, etc. Just a simple copy and paste would do me wonderfully!!! I do not use the web version of Outlook, only the PC version.
I want to use my To Do lists in Word and Excel so I can further prioritize, edit further and/or outline, and share, etc.
I currently have to email myself lists and can only do a few items at a time. Then I have to eliminate the check boxes using find and replace in Word, etc.. The process is really slow and just an inefficient work-around.
(I prefer a C&P paste without the check boxes, or as an option.)
I hope you make this change soon! Thank you for your consideration and the great improvements already made!

Guys this is real easy, so this is not a feature on the To Do list, but there is a way to this really simple, you duplicate the task you want to copy, and then go to your new task you just duplicated, and now you have a new list the same as the old one, they even have the same name and steps, change the name of that new task and then move your new task to the old list, and now you have copied the list, make sure to erased the duplicated task that you don’t need, you can do this as many times as you want to.

I see Move items option is there, it would be nice to have Copy items to another list feature also available. That would be handy in scenarios where we can copy items from grocery backlog to a more customized grocery list for specific instance of purchasing.
AHHHH, why hasn't microsoft fixed this yet??!!!! Please guys, it's such a PITA!!! Please add this feature. I need to be able to create "blank templates" for different tasks. Thanks!!
Why has there been no progress on adopting this key feature the app? Why is To Do such a shambles of missing features / features on some platforms and not on others? This is a CRUCIAL element for an effective task list manager and the fact that it doesn't work on all apps is ridiculous.
