I loved the way wunderlist had Smart Lists. I can't do without Starred and Week and even completed. Please add that to To-Do.
- Next 10 days
- Recurring tasks
- Tasks in shared lists
- Assigned to me
- Tasks with due date
- Tasks without due date
- Tasks due on xxx day
In To Do we now have Smart Lists for “Planned” which includes everything with a due date or a reminder time, “Important” for starred tasks, “Assigned to Me”, “Flagged emails”, and “My Day”.
We are currently not actively working on adding more Smart Lists, but we will make future additions to the product based on the amount of requests. We will continue to monitor this thread, so please continue voting here, leaving comments, or voting on a more specific thread.

I would like to see all of my tasks in one place. I would be happy with a section in the Planned smart list called "Unscheduled" or something to that effect. I recognize that this is outside the scope of the Planned smart list, but an option to turn it on or off would be welcome.

Completed smartlist is important to review what has been completed for the day.

Some apps include the ability for the user to create their own smart folders (or lists) by selecting such criteria as date. I'd rather see that than a number of pre-defined lists. But in any event, yes, please add more smart lists. The Wunderlist set looks desirable.

The "Unplanned" smartlist would help me to know if everything is planned and uner control

If not a smart list as described in the original post, there needs to be a way to sort through the hundreds of tasks I have. That could be saved "views" or lists, or custom views (i.e. like Todoist supports or Omnifocus).
For example, I have 155 tasks in the "assigned to me" view. I'd like to be able to sort by due date, by planner and/or bucket. These tasks should be repeatable if needed. I should also be able to drag them to other lists I create (and they should still maintain their connection to Planner).
Without sorting and focus techniques, you're just left with a massive lists of tasks that is unmanagable. At least "Flagged email" has some sorting capabilities. That should be supported in other views.
Add new smart "local" view to combine all "my days" and show them in one list.
This way we can see all business and personal tasks for particular days we have chosen from both accounts.

I'm a developer, my team has standup every day - will be great to add one more list: "Finished yesterday" os something like that, then my standup will be much smoother ;)
Another vote here for a “Completed” smart list. It was super helpful in Wunderlist. Somewhat unrelated, but it would also be super helpful to have a way to clear completed tasks in bulk, either manually or after a specified amount of time.

I turned on the “smart lists” feature and saw that when I went to the “Completed” list, it doesn’t show the completed tasks by default. I have to first select “show completed tasks” in order to see them. Shouldn’t the completed tasks show by default without me having to set it as an option?
A list showing tasks without due dates wouldbe great.

I am really beginning to like To Do, and the way it syncs with Teams and Outlook tasks. However, the one thing that would make me get rid of Todoist for good is if To Do would let me create my own smartlists.
We really need to be able to create custom lists, based on search criteria. Todoist also has this functionality already
It would be good if the idea with smart lists was developed. In my case I would be glad to see the following lists:
1) Next 7 days with day grouping. To plan activity for the nearest time.
2) Planned (already have this). To see the whole list of tasks which are scheduled.
3) Not planned. To keep an eye on tasks and someday plan them.
4) Completed. To track overall activity: what was done today or recently.
Now for “Not planned” and “Completed” you have to look through all the available lists, which is not convenient.
In general, it will be good to have these lists and have an option to display them always, hide, or display automatically, as it is done now for “Important” or “Planned”.
I think it will help to make the work with application more comfortable.
Give us ability to create our own smartlists
Need a "completed" smartlist!

Marcel, Surely over 4,000 votes should take this out of the backlog category. That number of votes warrant more respect from you. The real irritating point is that Wunderlist already had that. Don't you dare take this away!

"Planned" doesn't even approach how I'd like Smart Lists re-incorporated.
I'd simply like to type "October 4 - Dentist Appointment" as a task without having to set a Due Date manually. Wunderlist managed this years ago. Why can't To Do?

Please add Completed list to show what task was completed on what day.
Please have an "All" smartlist so I can view all my tasks in one window. It's really helpful for quick scrolling
You should add a smart list for all tasks and flagged emails. I should not have to create a task for an item related to a flagged email if the email itself has the info i need for that task.
