Calendar Integration / Calendar View
Calendar feed or calendar integration with iCal, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Microsoft Agenda or within app.

Our team is working on a solution to show tasks with due dates on the Outlook.com / O365 calendar. We unfortunately can’t provide an ETA on this yet, but we can assure you that we listen to your requests for it.

In the past, I suggested that a Task should have Sub-Tasks as many Tasks are full Projects with internal Tasks. I outlined a design that would work, but realized that this would complicate ToDo quite a bit. I have found a great solution that would be easy to integrate into ToDo with very little work and be much more powerful. I am now using the "File" feature already in ToDo and using Excel and several TAB's to handle all aspects of a complex project. I just wonder if a program other than Excel would be better, Like Microsoft Project or a much easier to use Project APP that would address the problems in Project Management. I spent years in a major engineering firm as a Project Manager and even wrote a program that worked well for this, but is was in Fortran and now only on a paper listing of the code. Too old and lazy to convert it to VB.

I already made a few comments about how much better ToDo "Planned" feature is so much better and more powerful than a Calander, but I do see a calander as useful graphically if it is a Microsoft ToDo feature that simply displays a calander with days highlighted showing one or more Tasks need attention on a day - nothing more. If I click on that day, I would be taken back to ToDo with those events displayed in a Task list.

I looked over the comments and clearly many are not using features ToDo already has that almost eliminate the need for Calander integration. It would be useful, graphically to look at a Calander but ToDo's "Planned" feature can be very powerful and much better than any calander as crowding in multiple events in one day in a calander on an iPhone is not very useful. It is not a problem graphically in the Planned Feature. I don't think there is a solution unless you simply put "Very Busy" or "See ToDo" on the calander for a full day. Using a Calander for entry that would update ToDo would be very limiting - almost useless unless ToDo was followed by editing the Task for all the details.

This needs to be able to sync with other email hosts, such as Gmail. The status of this issue states it is being worked on since 2018. It shouldn't take 3 years to make this happen. With emails being linked to so many things, it is unreasonable to believe that people are going to move their email to a different provider just to make a to-do list sync to their calendar. It would however be very nice, as a paid O365 account holder, to be able to take advantage of ALL of the apps seamlessly, including syncing with Gmail, which is not going away any time soon.

I'm new to using To Do and must say that it seems almost perfect for my needs - except the calendar integration. This seems to me like an essential element in organising your workload. Trying to organise a day or a week having to swap backwards and forwards between two programs feels far too clunky. I'm also at a loss as to how the last comment from the team is from more than two years ago - are you really still working on it? seriously, are you? Give us something, even a rough roll out schedule would be useful!

I think it would be better / cooler if you also have integration the other way - add Outlook calendar events as 'tasks' to your My Day list. Either way, we want one place for all activities, you can decide if that should be To Do (integrated into Outlook) or the Outlook Calendar. I think To Do would make more sense since that one you take with you on mobile, in Teams, etc

would be great if the calendar items would appear on to do list and to do list items on calendar

Many, maybe most, ToDos need a date to be done. So a calendar sync (google, iCal etc.) is essential for a decent workflow.
PLEASE make this happen soon! We need a working To Do APP, not a simple check-list. -

Please for the love of God....make this happen already. I really like this app and this feature may just be the icing on the cake for me. The calendar feature would really help with my "perfectionist" mindset. It would also be cool if you could choose the lists which would appear on the calendar.

It has been 2+ years, Microsoft. All we want is our tasks with due dates to be automatically synced on our calendar. Is it too much to ask for?

It would be nice if you could synchronize the panned to do list to you google calendar too - this can simply be done by making a link to a calendar for the list that you can add/subscribe too with your own account. Apps like Planday and Shiftify for job schedule has that and I works perfect!

It is no good Microsoft just saying they are working on it. They need to give updates.
