Outlook Mail Integration
Having a quick way to convert emails in Outlook to tasks that show up in Microsoft To-Do.

If you have enabled the ‘Flagged email’ option from settings in To Do, then any email you flag in Outlook will show up under the ‘Flagged email’ smartlist.
From the Outlook web app, you can create a task out of an email by right-clicking —> Advanced actions —> Create task. You can also select a message in the body of an email and create a task out of it.

When flagged mail is added to To Do, I’d like to put a task-like action-oriented title on it, rather than relying on the sender’s likely-inadequate email subject line. I need to be able to quickly scan a list to determine what actions I need to take, rather than having to open and re-read the emails. Huge time saver would be an action title feature. Thank you.

Unflagging an email should remove it from the To Do list - it's infuriating that I have to go through the to do list manually to remove these if I accidentally flag an email incorrectly & then unflag it.

Flagged emails should be available for all email accounts set up in Outlook for IOS, not just Outlook mail.
Adding emails to task should also be available from within the IOS apps and not just on the web. -

The right-click "create task" button is a huge step forward. Thank you for creating this feature. Please enable the ability to add "create task" as a button in the toolbar so more people will see it and be able to use it.

I would like that when the reminder is fulfilled it sends an email to any configurable email.

I would like to work in Outlook desktop version and not the online version when I open a message

This is totally inadequate compared to pre 365 versions of Outlook where you could put any date and time as a flag on an email and use it as a reminder

Opening outlook email in the web app rather than the desktop app is a deal killer. Seamless integration with Outlook was the one opportunity for Microsoft to differentiate and rise above all the competing apps and they blew it.

Users would benefit from greater integration between MSFT To Do (MTD) and Outlook. Flagging emails is insufficient. Having a MTD app for Outlook should empower users to eliminate the additional step of creating a formal to-do action after setting up a flag in Outlook. The flag only captures an emailed artefact. It doesn't fully indicate the action items of a task in the MTD app. For that, an additional step is required. Users should only be required to touch the email and corresponding to-do one (ideally at the time the user reads the email and attachments (if any). Flagged items are useful reminders, but not very useful to assign tasks to oneself, others, or both. A similar approach should be applied to Teams. If I'm accessing Outlook from Teams, or in a Teams meeting, or accessing a post, or reviewing a chat from a meeting, I should be able to seamlessly set up/assign a MSFT To-Do from wherever I am at that time. Then, the first thing I do is open Teams and MSFT To-Do to assess my daily activities.

Quite annoying that there is no option to open in Outlook desktop app instead of Edge browser, doesn't make sense to me.

When you flag an email and it appears in ToDo as a task there is an "Open in Outlook" feature which when clicked opens the email, but in the Edge browser, it should open the email in the desktop Outlook, so to keep owrking on the same "on premise" set of tools.

Yes you did, but this feature is only available for outlook in the cloud. Many compnaies must store the emails in their local service and it is not possible to have the email future in to do in this case.

We are using an on premise Exchange server at work that is not exaclty state-of-the-art, so it doesn't work with To Do which is a shame. It is very hard and frustrating convincing folks of using new or different tools to organize their work. Setbacks like having to update to a whole new exchange server make this even worse.

On commenting in the Wunderlist, there was a notification on the email, add it to it, and add the option to move the task from one list to another.

This would be awesome because your app is helpful in a way that I am certain you never realized. I am a person that suffers from adult ADD, anxiety and depression and it helps keep a noisy, easily distracted mind organized and on track. This is exceptionally important now more than ever due to the CCP virus situation with lock downs and social distancing. I additionally feel this more than ever because I live alone and as of June 02, 2020 lost my Mommy (I will be 54 on Christmas Day 2020 but she always has been and forever will be "Mommy" to me) so I am grieving her loss approaching my first birthday without her. There are important tasks (basic life & housekeeping tasks) that I need to do but with my chronic disorders and the loss of Mommy I find it hard to focus on.
I like to print the list and post on my refrigerator and I also love that I can access it on my iPad but a custom cheerful background on it would help perk my spirits. I was glad to see that others are suggesting that also.
