Display number of overdue/current todos on badge
Display number of overdue/current todos on app icon on iOS.
Introducing app badge support in version 2.14.
You now have three options for app badge notifications—Added to My Day and not completed, due and overdue, and turned off for those who don’t like to see those little red numbers.
Set your preference app settings.
You still don't have this on Mac OS!
Not working on Android?
Anonymous comment on April 12th helped me! Logging into a personal account then back into work account reset something and now I have badges!
Still not working on iOS 13.4.1 !! I closed the app and started it again after choosing show today and overdue, but nothing happened.
Still not working on Android 10 / EMUI 10 (Huawei P30)
Please this feature is so important
You have to must add features like sliding bar at side for check all todos and task like mi notes app
I see this was marked as "We Have This." No you don't. I am using To Do on my Mac desktop, and this feature is nowhere to be found.

Will the macOS app have this feature?

Display only overdue and current items only. Dont show the next day items as like in wunderlist. Or make this as userfriendly. Any one can change this using settings.
Will this be available on Android 10?
It worked!! I did the steps described by Anonymous on April 8. Thanks so much for posting.
In response to my April 10 post, it’s now working after I logged out of my work account and into a personal one.
Because my work account is managed, To Do had to restart (to apply a security setting) before I could answer Allow to the Notification pop up. This must be why it didn’t show up in Settings.
Only after logging into my personal account and answering Allow to the Notifications pop up did To Do show up in Settings > Notifications.
After that, I logged back into my work account and the badge count shows.
A work around to the work around.
Still not working in 2.15 on iPhone 6 v12.4.5.
I tried the delete/install workaround but now To Do doesn’t even show up in Settings>Notifications!!!
I finally got this way
- delete and reinstall
- ok for messages when first starting, brings the badge option in the general settings
- deactivating the messages in the app
- activating the messages in the app FINALLY it started working
ios 13.4 on iphone and ipad. First got it on ipad and could reproduce it on iphone.
Sure not the way things should work ...

Nope, still not working
Still not working!
No option to display badge in To Do notifications settings.
What about the MacOS version? The current version 2.14 does not have badges.
I deleted the app and re installed it and it looks like it works. Hope this helps
This new badge feature isn’t working properly. To get badges to show up at all I had to disable and then enable badges for the To Do app in the iOS notification settings.
I then set badges to “due and overdue”. I had a task due today but there’s no badge. I then created another task due today and no badge. I then created a task due in the past (March 4) and no badge. I added one of the tasks to “my day” and no badge.
I then went into the iOS notification settings and turned badges off for the app. I then went into the app and turned badges off. Then I went into the iOS settings for the app and turned badges back on. And then in the app I set badges back to “due and overdue”. The badge then showed up correctly as “3”.
Then I went and completed one of the “today” tasks and the badge incorrectly stayed at “3”. Completing the March 4th task it stayed at “3” still.
I then turned badges off in the app, went to the home screen, then opened the app and turned badges back to “due and overdue” and the badge correctly showed “1”.
So it seems there’s some issue going on with the badge not updating correctly.
I’m running iOS 13.4 on an iPhone XR with To Do v2.14.
Badge count not working for me on iPhone 11pro max, but is working on my iPad Pro 11 (both with latest software updates installed).
