If you leave the app (IOS), which you normally do, open from one day to the next, and the next day has tasks, the icon badge will not update until you close/reopen the app. this makes the icon badge sort of useless at the beginning of your day. The same if you delete a task today. Badge won't update unless close/reopen. The issue is reported to support.

I have figured this out, the badge won't work until you set due day for each task. Play with this and you will understand.

I see this was marked as "We Have This." No you don't. I am using To Do on my Mac desktop, and this feature is nowhere to be found.

Sir,
Display only overdue and current items only. Dont show the next day items as like in wunderlist. Or make this as userfriendly. Any one can change this using settings. -

Will this be available on Android 10?

In response to my April 10 post, it’s now working after I logged out of my work account and into a personal one.
Because my work account is managed, To Do had to restart (to apply a security setting) before I could answer Allow to the Notification pop up. This must be why it didn’t show up in Settings.
Only after logging into my personal account and answering Allow to the Notifications pop up did To Do show up in Settings > Notifications.
After that, I logged back into my work account and the badge count shows.
A work around to the work around.
