Connect with the built in Windows 10 Mail app
So that emails can be turned into to-dos

With the latest version of To-Do you can now see your flagged emails from the Mail app as tasks in To-Do. Simply download the latest version of To-Do, enable the feature in Settings and you’ll see the list for flagged items show up in the sidebar.
You can get the latest version of To-Do on https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-to-do-list-app

+1 to comment from matt
Please integrate To Do when flagged email is from Gmail account. -

Flagged email is only visible when Mail is using an Outlook.com or an Exchange account. We still need a way to make an email into a task when using another email account such as Gmail or Yahoo mail.

I don't see this feature in To-Do (after the update from May 2019). I am running version 1.62.1907.31003 and don't see the setting..

Question: From Windows 10 mail, why can't I drag and drop an email I consider a task directly into "To Do" as a task for that day? Or right click, copy to To Do?
When I try, it won't allow me to do so BUT the email message does lift off the list like it could be moved, perhaps to a folder. The ability would allow me to be more productive faster.

Hi - Just wondering if Tasks will be integrated with the mail app? Would be a great feature to use.

Out of curiosity - has this had any updates? Really hoping this feature comes out soon!

This is very exciting and cant wait to use flag and task feature. I am BIG fan of Tasks but I stopped using Outlook since it slows down my work laptop.
Hopefully it rolls out soon for the mail app as it makes my workflow a seamless interaction!

Die bisherige Webdarstellung auflösen und auf das Design der Mail-App zurückgreifen. Wischgesten implementieren zum Hinzufügen von Aufgaben und ähnlichem.

Dissolve the previous web display and use the design of the mail app. Implement swipe gestures to add tasks and the like. -

At the moment, To-do, calendar, and mail are sort of integrated. when we open mail, there links for to-do and calendar. however, when we click on the links a new window open. I think it would be better to provide TABs for each of these built-in apps, i.e. only one window

In Gmail I can drag an email to the tasks sidebar and create a task very easily.
Please Microsoft make it also that simple! -

This should include the option to drag & drop an email from the Mail app to a task list in the To-Do app.

Literally the ONLY reason I dumped Windows 10 Mail and switched back to Outlook.

Like WunderList & OneNote, perhaps the ability to forward an email to your to-do list would be the way to go.

Better integration with everything Microsoft would be great - I want it to have all the functionality of the current tasks within Microsoft Outlook, but to be as intuitive as Wunderlist.
I use Michael Linenberger's Master Your Now system for tasks - please don't lose that ability, especially if you are combining functionality from Wunderlist and other programs -

I want to mail it to 'to do list'. And give it in the app a date and list.

As in the David Allen GTD principles, being able to drag an email from Windows Mail to To-Do would be a great improvement. Copy and paste works now, I Guess.

I did this with Microsoft Flow. Every time an email is flagged, I create a task in Outlook Tasks/Microsoft To-Do. It works, but it's a one-way integration.
